The Betta Chronicles are the recorded entries and accounts of the daily lives of Heaven's Archangels, known collectively as the Seven Heavenly Virtues, or simply, the Bettas.

As leader of the Heavenly Hosts, Archangel Michael serves as the Chief Historian and caretaker of these chronicles, preserving the triumphs, struggles, and sacrifices of Heaven's greatest guardians as they carry out God's, or better known as Alpha's, work.

Within these pages are tales of adventure and wonder, of joy and sorrow, of triumph and tragedy. They are stories of life, death, pain, hope, and every emotion you thought you knew—along with a few you never imagined possible.

When Does The Betta Chronicles Take Place?
These chronicles you are reading were recorded by the Sixth Archangel Michael.

The records of his predecessors remain sealed and are written in Braille, for all who bear the title of Archangel Michael are cursed, but also blessed, without sight. (read his bio if you said wtf, again?).

Because of this, there is no fixed date or era in which the Betta Chronicles can be said to take place. The Bettas exist beyond the normal flow of human space and time, and thus do not measure history as mankind does.

Instead, each entry is identified by a unique sequence of six numbers—a system understood only by the Bettas themselves and one that reflects their own perception of time and existence.

To human eyes, these chronicles may appear timeless. To the Bettas, however, every entry has its proper place in the grand tapestry of God's creation.

And so, the question is not when do these chronicles take place, but rather, where in eternity do they belong?

Why Don't Your Comic Books Have Issue Numbers?
Because The Betta Chronicles are not told in a traditional sequence.

There is no Issue #1, #2, or even #20 like the comic books you know. Each book is an independent chronicle, a story complete in itself, yet linked to the others on a level far deeper than that of an ordinary comic book series.

Every volume contains a pathway to a Previous Chronicle, allowing readers to preserve a sense of chronology through human eyes. However, always remember:

We are not reading these stories from our perspective. We are stepping into their world and reading their chronicles.

The Bettas do not experience time as we do, and neither do their records. So yes, you will become confused, accept it!

For while mankind seeks a straight line, the Bettas see a tapestry. Their stories are not arranged by issue numbers, but by meaning, memory, and through eternity. After all, these are not comic books with issue numbers.

They are Chronicles.

What Are Their Powers?
Each Betta possesses a unique power bestowed upon them by God, a gift intrinsically tied to the sacred title they bear. No two Bettas are exactly alike, for each office carries with it its own responsibilities, blessings, and divine abilities.

Despite these differences, the Seven Heavenly Virtues share a number of common gifts. To those unfamiliar with the Bettas, these abilities are often mistaken for magic. Some believe them to be advanced technology, while others recognize them as manifestations of the divine.

Among the greatest of these shared gifts is what the Bettas call Omnipresence. Contrary to its name, it is not True Omnipresence, for that belongs to God alone. Rather, it is an extraordinary awareness of another one's presence. An Archangel may see, feel, fight and of course talk to another Archangel standing beside them, even when that companion is far away. In a sense, they are both present and elsewhere at the same time.

This is but one of the many gifts granted to the Seven Heavenly Virtues.

As the chronicles unfold, readers will witness countless other wonders—powers, blessings, and mysteries that mankind might call magic, but which the Bettas simply know as "Gifts from The Alpha".
